The Gaggle- Just monitoring the news feeds, suspicious (see: CIA) activity in Turkey leads to a weakening of Erdogan's case internationally, even if Turkey is right in throwing up roadblocks to further NATO expansion. Even if seemingly fortuitous events led to Erdogan's hand being strengthened in the near term due to the embellishment of a particular narrative. The strongman institutes a crackdown, excuse in hand, as usual, to further his ambitions.
