Thomas Sowell- Some aspects of the welfare state are easier to attack than subsidizing healthcare for our citizens that we do already have, like incentivizing single motherhood. We're living longer today, and if we can fight moronic wars and spend in a profligate manner to do so, we could divert resources away from this spending in peacetime and invest in the quality of life of our citizens here at home.
