Bipolar Disorder

How does one explain one's odd (though harmless) behavior after one comes down from a manic, sleep-deprived bender?

You would probably be at a loss of words as well.

Let me make one thing clear:

1) If you deal with psychosis, you should probably be on medication, and working in close coordination with a doctor for the reasons mentioned in the film.

(I have been diagnosed as Bipolar II, but sleep deprivation combined with alcohol can push me into psychosis. That's why I do not mix the two, and sleep every night.)

2) Bipolar Disorder can ruin your life.

3) Mental illness eats away at your quality of life and your ability to function.

No one should be shamed from seeking the help that they need, nor should they be ostracized if they do so.

Stigma and ignorance is a large part of why many people who do need help do not end up seeking it.

We all need help.
Ask for it.
Just pick up the phone.
