CrossTalk- I don't think it's so much that American policy is angering the Chinese on Taiwan.
It seems more to me that aggressive Chinese rhetoric and action has forced  the USA's hand here. Those semiconductor plants are a pretty big deal.

Let the Chines sabre-rattle.
